Apple M1 is welcoming the enemy again: Exposure of Samsung Q4 releases Exynos PC processor

May 23, 2022

Since Apple officially released the first self -developed computer chip M1 for Mac last year, it has become a disruptive product in Apple history with its powerful performance and excellent energy efficiency performance.

Of course, in the face of sudden opponents, various chip manufacturers will naturally not be indifferent.

Today, according to the media WCCFTECH, Samsung is expected to release the Exynos PC processor in the fourth quarter of this year, which will be designed based on Samsung’s latest Exynos 2100, or a 5nm process process.

In addition, the report said that the processor will use AMD GPU and defeat the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 in the benchmark test.

It is understood that the Samsung Exynos 2100 uses Samsung’s latest 5nm EUV process, equipped with a large core of Cortex-X1 with a main frequency of 2.9GHz, supplemented by 3 2.8GHz A78 nucleus and 4 2.2 2.2 GHZ A55 small core.

I believe that under the PC’s excellent heat dissipation ability, the performance release of this chip will be more powerful than the mobile terminal.

Of course, there are more than Samsung families that compete for Apple M1.

Not long ago, the old chip manufacturer Qualcomm was exposed to a processor codenamed SC8280.

It is reported that this processor will be an upgraded product of the Snapdragon 8CX and 8CX Gen 2. Through the test system data, it is found that the Snapdragon SC8280 PC processor will be equipped with more than 8 kernel with a size of 20X17 mm Essence

What’s more interesting is that Intel’s new CEO also stated before that Intel must provide better products for the PC ecosystem than Apple.

It is worth noting that as early as 2019, Samsung and AMD officially achieved a multi -year strategic cooperation. The two parties will find more development in the fields of ultra -low power consumption, image processing.

With AMD’s technology blessing, whether Samsung, the Exynos PC processor can fight with Apple M1, is worth looking forward to.
